Journeys New Look
Innovative ways brings about a new format for delivering Journeys. In this edition we talk about how with each new year comes new technological advances and innovative ways of learning and communicating in relation to the world around us. Technology opens doors for creative thought and introduces revolutionary learning platforms, making eclectic learning accessible across the world. With the growing use of social media, we are able to obtain lots of information in a short amount of time. Through today’s high speed internet and advanced technology, real-time world news updates and public relations are just a short click away. Modern day technology allows us to enhance the academic world by presenting new methods of student engagement and communication. Additionally, social network services such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and blog sites are being integrated into higher education curriculum through research projects, classroom assignments, and cross-campus relations.
We are excited to announce that the Spring 2015 focus for Journeys Magazine is: Social Media and Technology in the Field of Education. Both technology and social media are being harnessed in the world of academia for their benefits to student engagement in and outside of the classroom. Join us as we navigate through the pros and cons of the accessibility and reliance on technology and social media in higher education.
