CI 199: Introduction to College Research

Morris Library faculty teach a 1-credit class offered through Curriculum and Instruction. It is an eight-week class and several sections are available in both the first eight weeks and the second eight weeks of the semester. The course ensures effective learning of resources such as the library, electronic databases, and the Internet and provides opportunities for students to find, evaluate, and use information effectively, efficiently, and ethically. Students learn to determine the extent of the information which is needed for specific assignments and to use software tools that help them to manage research projects.
