Human Development & Family Studies | Curriculum & Instruction | SIU
Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) is an interdisciplinary graduate program of study for students interested in the development of the child within the context of the family and family development and dynamics. The program integrates theory, research and practical learning to promote leaders in these academic fields. Graduate students will learn to read and conduct research in the areas of child development, family studies or educational settings for the young child. The program focuses on the application of research to real world issues related to children and families, which is a key element to working with and promoting healthy development of children and families.
