LSDT Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of educators who have years of experience in the realm of education and in the private sector. Our faculty serve as models for those preparing to teach, thus playing a significant role in the preparation of educators for all levels and subjects. Faculty also maintain contacts with government agencies as well as business and industry to facilitate student employment in settings outside of K-12 schools.

FACULTY EMERITI

Shrock Dr. Sharon Shrock
Sharon graduated from Indiana University in 1978 with a doctorate in Instructional Systems Technology.  She was on the faculty at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and at Southern Illinois University where she served as a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction and Coordinator for the Instructional Design and Technology Programs (prior to retirement).  She specializes in instructional design and program evaluation and has been an evaluation consultant to international corporations, school districts, and Federal instructional programs.  She is the former Co-director of the Hewlett-Packard World Wide Test Development Center.

Coscarelli Dr. William Coscarelli
Bill graduated from Indiana University in 1977 with a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems.  He then joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University in their Learning Resources office.  He has spent sabbaticals as a visiting scholar at the National Center for Vocational Education at Ohio State, a lecturer in Holland, England, and Ireland, and most recently at Bonn, Cologne, and Cairo.  Prior to retirement, he taught full-time within the Instructional Design specialization of the SIU Department of Curriculum & Instruction where he served as a Professor. He is also a former Co-director of the Hewlett-Packard World Wide Test Development Center.
