Computer Learning Center 5 (CLC 5)

Formerly, COEHS Micro-computer lab & Multimedia Center for Teaching and Learning (MCTL)

Computer Learning Center 5 in Wham 210 is managed by the Office of Information Technology. Computer Labs are available for classroom instruction. There are 24 PCs and 16 MAC for use.   A variety of equipment and the computer labs can be reserved in advance by calling 453-2811.


Computer Labatories

In Wham 210 suite area there is:
  • Lab A, 24 PC computers
  • Lab B, 17 MAC computers  and 8 scanners
  • Equipment is available for faculty and staff.
In Wham 112 suite area there is:
  • 20 PC computers.
  • Equipment is available for faculty and staff.

The equipment available:

(Check out requires an ID on file until equipment is returned.)

  • camcorders
  • tripods,
  • wireless microphones,
  • portable LCD projectors and
  • travel projection screen

Service:

We povide transcribing VHS and Micro-videocassettes to DVD provided there is no copyright infringement. Users provide the blank DVD-R. Also available for faculty-only checkout individual laptops (for use only in Wham and Pulliam) limited supply.


All equipment is available through the CLC5 in Wham 210 on a first come, first serve basis.  Some equipment can be checked out on semester-long loans, availability permitting.  Equipment can be reserved in advance by calling 453-2811.

When reserving/checking out equipment please supply requestor’s name and office number, course name and number, location, date and time needed.

Students and faculty must provide photo identification when picking up equipment.

For classroom use in Wham and Pulliam only, CLC5 has two TV/DVD/VCR  and three laptop/projection units available for checkout on a daily basis. When requesting these items, be specific about capabilities needed, e.g. VCR or DVD playback, and about the size of the classroom in which the equipment will be used. If a classroom is large, it is often preferable to send a projection unit, if available, rather than a TV monitor, even if a computer is not needed. For individual laptop checkout the requestor will need to pick up from Wham 210 and returned as soon as the requestor is finished teaching course.


The CLC 5 lab hours:

  • Monday thru Thursday from 8am – 9pm
  • Friday from 8am – 4pm during the Spring and Fall semester.
  • Limited hours during break and summer hours.
