Erica Jowett Hirst, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Clinical Director

Erica

Dr. Jowett Hirst is the director of the CBRT Lab and provides supervision for all students. She earned her Ph.D. From the University of Kansas and has over 14 years of experience working with children, parents, and teachers. Paige Boydston, M.S., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Paige graduated from Wichita State University with a BS in Psychology and from Pittsburg State University with an MS in Psychology (Clinical emphasis). She is currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities since February 2005. She has worked in home, community, school and residential settings with a variety of age ranges. She has a strong background in early, intensive behavioral interventions for children with autism. Her research interests include organizational behavior management, implementation of EIBI procedures and teaching programs in residential settings with adolescent/young adults, increasing staff efficiency and productivity, and the identification of variables that impact parent involvement in evidence based treatment programs.

Monique Barnett, B.S.

Monique is currently earning her Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas. She has experience providing therapy to children and teenagers diagnosed with Autism in clinical settings. Some of her interests include early intervention, parent training, and social skills. Outside of school, Monique enjoys watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

Brandy Davis, B.S.

Brandy is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Missouri State University.  Her experience working with children includes being a lead teacher and teacher assistant for several preschools.  Brandy has also completed practicum hours working at a behavioral day treatment center for preschoolers diagnosed with autism.  In addition, she has experience working with parents to improve their skills and interactions with their children.  Brandy is currently leading a research study that evaluates the effects of choice on motivation during response acquisition with children.  Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with friends and family.

Megan Tolan, B.A.

Megan is currently earning a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Megan’s experience working with children includes working with children in clinic and school settings. Outside of school, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, exercising, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family.

Samantha Smock

Samantha

Samantha is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. Her experience working with children includes providing individualized instruction with clients at an on-campus clinic and serving as a nanny for a variety of families. Upon graduation, she hopes to attend a graduate program for behavior analysis. Outside of school, Samantha enjoys fishing and being outdoors, watching movies, going to concerts, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Kayla Brachbill

Kayla is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. Her experience working with children includes providing one-on-one ABA therapy to individuals diagnosed with Autism and implementing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Kayla is currently leading a research project that evaluates teachers' preference for two common classroom management procedures. Upon graduation, Kayla hopes to earn a Master's degree in behavior analysis and then go on to work in a school setting providing ABA therapy to children. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, watching HGTV, and spending time with her dog Wrigley.

Huntar Lee

Huntar is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University. Her experience working with children includes working at a local day care center, and providing one-on-one ABA therapy and implementing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with individuals diagnosed with Autism. Upon graduation, she hopes to earn a Master’s degree in behavior analysis, then go on to work with a company that provides ABA services to children and young adults. Outside of school, Huntar enjoys, spending time with her family, going to sporting events, and spending time outdoors.
