Jonetta Clark's academic career began here at SIU in 2008 and she received her BSW in 2012. Since beginning her academic career she has worked and volunteered with children, adolescents, and older adults in the health and mental health field. During her undergraduate career she interned with the Center for Rural Health and Social Service Development. She received a significant amount of macro level social work experience there.
Her other experiences include working as a life skills therapist and recovery support specialist for NeuroRestorative and Centerstone of Southern Illinois. She has worked in crisis intervention, treatment planning, and mental health recovery. Currently she is interning at Brehm Preparatory School, a boarding school that specializes in helping students with learning disabilities reach their full potential. Jonetta plans to work adolescent mental health after receiving her MSW.
