Lauren Tarbet is in her second year of the Masters of Social Work (MSW) program at Southern Illinois University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. In addition to her academic training, Lauren has worked as a Treatment Facilitator for New Directions Northwest in Baker City Oregon, and is currently working with the Achieve Program at SIU as a Case Manager.
She has enhanced her skills with internships with an Aldea in Peru, the Carbondale Police Department as a Victim’s Advocate, and with the Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale. She is a member of Psi Chi, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and National Society of Leadership and Success. Lauren was born in California, grew up in Utah and enjoys living in Carbondale Illinois.
