KaSandra Sapp

KaSandra (K.C.) Sapp is an advanced standing, Social Work graduate student at SIU Carbondale. Her concentration is Health and Mental Health Social Work. K.C. obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from SIU Carbondale as well, in 2015. She is currently completing her graduate practicum working with Veterans on campus at SIUC through the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

K.C. was inspired to pursue a career in Social Work by her missionary work in Haiti. While in Haiti she developed a passion for loving those who feel unloved and helping those who are less fortunate. K.C. enjoys inspiring others to take initiative and create a better environment for themselves and their families. Upon completing her Master's Degree, K.C. plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, using her expertise to continue her missionary and humanitarian work both here in the United States and abroad. K.C. intends to practice as a youth and family counselor here in Southern Illinois as well.
