Matt Buckman, Ph.D
Dr. Buckman is the Clinical Director of the Child & Adolescent Division at Egyptian Public & Mental Health Department. He supervises and provides direct services to children, teens, families, and young adults to help improve a variety of emotional and behavioral health issues.
Dr. Buckman received his doctorate from the University of Kentucky. He has worked in various school, medical, and clinical settings with a specialization in child maltreatment. He came to southern Illinois from the Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health– a residential treatment program serving children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Buckman holds certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy through a learning collaborative from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
