Educator Licensure Information

The Office of Teacher Education administers all teacher preparation programs across the university that lead to Professional Educator License (PEL). 

Program leading to entitlement to the Initial Early Childhood-Preschool/Primary: For birth to grade 2

  • Early Childhood Preschool/Primary

Program leading to entitlement to the Initial Self-Contained Elementary Educator Licensure: For grades 1-6

  • Elementary Education 

Programs leading to entitlement to the Initial Secondary Educator Licensure: For grades 9-12

  • Agricultural Education (grades 6-12)
  • Science w/ a designation in Biology
  • English Education
  • History Education
  • Mathematics Education

  • Special Education- Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBSI)
