Serves as WED liaison with the College and community at large for Recruitment and Retention: attends recruitment fairs, visits companies in the area to recruit and promote the WED program, and assists prospective students with program and process inquiries. Also serves as departmental liaison with SIU for communication and marketing strategies and creates and distributes marketing and promotional materials. Manages the WED email account, responding to students’ and prospects’ inquiries, and social media.

Maintains financial reports for the Illinois Nurse Assistant/Aide Competency Evaluation/Testing Program, DSP/DD Aide Training Verification Project and various other accounts. Assists with project budgets. Prepares the projects' purchase requisitions, planned purchase order release entries, invoice-vouchers, and travel reimbursement vouchers. Orders the projects' supplies. Assists with projects' meeting accommodations. Ships UPS packages for the department. Supports Administrative Assistant, Department Chair, and various project managers.

Designs, maintains, and updates Departmental web pages using content management system. Inputs courses and provides entry- and intermediate-level training in functions and use of SIU Online (Desire2Learn) Learning Management System. Administers and facilitates Adobe Connect meetings and online courses. Creates and administers Departmental social media services.
Prepares invoice distribution forms for payment and reimbursement; prepares purchase requisitions for off-campus commodities and contractual purchases; processes off-campus telecommunication payments; prepares off-campus sites' budget reports and tracks commodities, contractual, telephone and travel expenses; maintains records of periodicals and reference materials. Supervises two staff persons and one student worker. Supports Department Chair and liason with site coordinators for telecommunication services.

Supports Dr. Keith Waugh, Director of Graduate Programs.
Processes travel expense vouchers for on and off-campus staff/faculty. Handles the Instructional Course Evaluations (ICE’s) for the department, on campus and off-campus. Supports the Business Education faculty. Processes grade change cards for on and off-campus faculty. Department P-Card manager.

Off Campus WED Academic Advisor
This role primarily serves to support grant funding research and grant proposal development for the department. Daily activities include leading internet-based searches to identify external funding sources, including federal, state, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities; the coordination of data acquisition and analysis activities for the completion of grant proposals; and the synthesis of data for final proposal products and departmental reports.
