Dr. Blank has been teaching Computer Science I/II/III, Chemistry I and II, Physics, and Physical Science at the high school level in the Wayne City school district for the past 25 years. He has also taught PE, Health, Anatomy and Physiology, Earth Science, Biology I and II, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus, Spanish I/II/III and has served as the Guidance Counselor in a 32 year career as a public school educator. His research interests are in computational science and is currently serving as a charter board member on the Great Lakes Consortium for Petascale Computation (GLCPC) based at the University of Illinois. The highlight of his teaching career occurred in October 2007 when he was an invited visitor to the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton for a workshop in astrophysics.
