Offering a variety of programs, the Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) program serves a large and diverse student population. We attract students from around the state, the nation, and the world. The structure of coursework offered in C&I affords students the optimal environment for strengthening current skills and developing new skills that will help them build successful careers in Education.
Students in the School of Education may major in:
- Child and Family Services
- Early Childhood (Preschool-Primary or Child and Family Services)
- Special Education
At the undergraduate level, the C&I program has the primary responsibility for planning, developing, and delivering core courses that prepare students for an Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in one of the following areas:
- Early Childhood teacher endorsement
- Elementary School teacher endorsement
