We encourage you to apply early for admission to SIU Carbondale and Social Work.

Once you have been admitted to SIU Carbondale, you will be informed about opportunities for new student orientation, academic advisement, and registration.

Beginning freshmen who qualify for admission to the University are granted admission to the Social Work program as their intended field of study.

Transfer students must have an overall grade point average of 2.25 (on a 4.0 scale), calculated according to SIUC's grading policies and procedures from all post-secondary institutions.
