Admissions Procedure

Individuals seeking admission to the WED master's degree program must meet all requirements established by the Graduate School and the Workforce Education and Development program.

The Director of Graduate Programs evaluates all applications and makes the decision to grant or deny admission.

To apply for admission, the application requirements listed below must be met and materials submitted in the online application.

Select "Workforce Education and Development - MSEd" as the major when completing the application. Confirm all steps are completed and required documents uploaded before you submit your application. Once your application is submitted, you cannot make any changes.

SIUC requires a $65.00 non-refundable application fee. You must pay the fee online by credit card. Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover are accepted. Applications will not be processed until the application fee is paid and all information is submitted.

Admission Requirements

  • A 2.7 GPA of a completed bachelor's degree
  • A career goal consistent with the mission of the program
  • Relevant professional or technical experience (at least two years is recommended)

Application Materials

  • Driver's License
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • International student information (if applicable)
  • Official transcripts must be submitted if they are not already on file at SIUC
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume
