Professional Major Courses
(Effective Summer Semester 2016)
Effective Summer Semester 2016, 36 semester hours are required as part of the Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development, with a specialization in Organizational Training, and Development. The sequenced, professional major courses prepare individuals as trainers, training support personnel, or other leadership roles in education, business, industry, labor, and government training organizations.

Occupational/Technical Specialty
Forty-four semester hours are required as part of the Bachelor of Science degree Workforce Education and Development. Credit hours may be awarded for work experience (minimum 2 years full-time, maximum 4 years full-time) and technical training (minimum 14 credit hours). Technical training credit is awarded through official school transcripts or certificates with 40 hours or more listed on the face of the document or military training and rate. Please consult your advisor for specific approvals.
University Core Curriculum
Forty-one semester hours are required as part of the Bachelor of Science degree for all SIUC graduates. Requirements include English Composition, Speech, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, Humanities, Fine Arts, Health, and Integrative Studies. Please consult with your advisor regarding the specific requirements when you are admitted to SIU. SIU accepts approved courses from accredited two and four-year colleges as well as selected CLEP and DANTES examinations. SOCNAV approved.
