Atheana Meadows is a Lecturer in the Rehabilitation Institute and Clinical Supervisor for the Communication Disorders & Sciences Program. She received her B.S. in Family Social Service from Northern Illinois University; and transferred from SIU’s CDS Program to complete her M.A. in Audiology at The Ohio State University. Since 1992, Ms. Meadows has worked as a Clinical Audiologist in various settings including private practice audiology and speech language pathology, residential facilities for special needs adults, hospitals, private practice ENT, and educational audiology. Ms. Meadows is currently teaching Introduction to Audiology, Introduction to Speech & Hearing Science, Communication Problems in the Hearing Impaired, and Special Topics: Aural Rehabilitation at SIU Carbondale. She is concurrently working at the Marion School for the Hearing Impaired as the Educational Audiologist for Williamson County and the surrounding area. She formerly taught Public Speaking at Rend Lake College during summers.
